Jill G. Zimmerman

Jill G. Zimmerman joined Hilco Global in June of 2021 as EVP, Chief People Officer, working with the Global Leadership team and across all operating company leaders and teams. She is responsible for the company’s overall people and talent strategy, including hiring, employee learning and development, leadership development and succession, engagement and performance, organizational design and effectiveness, and overall Human Resource (HR) service delivery, policies and programs.
Jill is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist and expert in talent strategy and change management. She has over 30 years of executive HR leadership and global experience building and implementing full life cycle people strategies, with a proven track record of transforming business challenges into effective and executable people solutions with measurable results.
Jill has provided strategic leadership and built impactful people solutions with the CEOs and Executive teams of four large, global financial services and consulting organizations that include: Mercer; Discover Financial Services; Hewitt Associates; and Bank of Montreal.
Most recently, Jill was Partner and the Global Chief Talent and Inclusion Officer at Mercer, a global Human Resource Consulting company providing advice and technology-driven solutions to help organizations in over 130 countries meet the health, wealth and career needs of their changing workforce. The solutions she led, helped everyone in the organization, from the c-suite to consultants and front-line operations teams, to deliver on Mercer’s business strategy, while providing employee development, engagement, career progression, and inclusion.
Jill also serves as adjunct faculty for Executive Education at Northwestern University teaching Change Management and Managerial Effectiveness to top line global executives; is a member of the Corporate Advisory Board of edX (the World’s premier nonprofit online learning solutions founded by Harvard and MIT); is an affiliate of the ADL Education Committee; and a Mentor for Aspire, mentoring women from underdeveloped countries leading not-for-profit organizations in support of women.
A frequent speaker and quoted resource for human resources and business publications, Jill shares her practitioner expertise on such topics as talent acquisition, succession planning, change management, leadership development, career development, workforce analytics, and building a diverse and inclusive workforce. She has completed doctoral work in and holds an MS degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Illinois and is certified in multiple best in class assessment and team building tools.
