Hillary Hecktman Behar is Executive Director of the Hecktman Family Foundation. She champions the family’s philanthropic strategy in supporting domestic and international public healthcare, at risk youth, education, community engagement and arts/culture. Her personal non-profit interests include pediatric healthcare advances, genocide prevention, improving after school programming in Chicago for at-risk youth and gun violence prevention. Hillary serves on the Board of Directors for the JCC Chicago and was instrumental in building Sunrise Day Camp Chicago.
Hillary is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Pediatric Oncology Nurse Practitioner Program. Her bachelor of science in nursing degree was earned at the University of Miami. She previously worked as a Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant Nurse Practitioner at the University of Chicago and Comer Children’s Hospital, and as a Stem Cell Transplant Staff Nurse at Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children.
