Katie DeCoste joined Hilco Real Estate Sales in 2024 as Senior Managing Director, focusing on business development for the firm’s asset sales division. With over 20 years of experience in the special situation real estate industry, Katie has participated in transactions that generated over $2 billion in revenue for properties of nearly every asset class on a national basis and is currently an integral part of HRE’s numerous business development endeavors.
Prior to HRE, Katie was a partner and held senior business development, project management, marketing, and sales positions at industry-leading firms. Over the course of her career, Katie has co-led and executed some of the industry’s largest and most high-profile national real estate sale and lease restructuring projects, representing Fortune 500 Corporations, REITs, various financial institutions, commercial and residential developers, non-profit and religious organizations as well as prominent private owners and estates. She has also represented trustees, receivers, debtors, and secured creditors in numerous bankruptcy transactions.
Some of Katie’s notable clients have included ALCOA, Rayonier, Plum Creek, AgTech, American Greetings, Fortress Investments, Wells Fargo, the Brothers of the Holy Cross, and the Pritzker Family Estate. Recent projects include the Williamsburg and William Vale Hotels in Brooklyn, NY; AgTech’s KY industrial portfolio; a national receiver’s 22 property portfolio of development land and residential projects in various stages of completion in TX, CO, and WA; and a 65-property commercial portfolio in NJ.
Katie is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association and the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation.
