About Masataka

Masataka Yamada is Senior Managing Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Strategy Officer of ORIX Corporation, where he is responsible for the Corporate Strategy and Management Unit.

He joined ORIX Corporation in February 2026 and initially served as Senior Adviser and Assistant to the CEO.

Prior to this, Mr. Yamada spent approximately 30 years at JPMorgan Securities Japan Co., Ltd., where he most recently served as Head of the Japan Investment Banking Division.

Since joining ORIX, Mr. Yamada has been a strong advocate of the firm’s global strategy, including asset management, supporting expansion beyond Japan, enhancing connectivity across the firm’s international platforms, and ensuring strong financial discipline.

Mr. Yamada received a Bachelor of Commerce and Management degree from Hitotsubashi University (Japan) in 1996.
