P. Michael Werner
Michael Werner serves as Director of Senior Project Management for the Hilco Fixed Asset Recovery Division within Hilco – Consumer Retail. With his extensive expertise in retail operations and wholesale wind-downs, Mike is a valuable team member who consistently contributes to our strategic initiatives and success.
As a consultant, Mike served as a key project operational lead, procuring over 20 years of experience in retail restructuring. Mike joined Hilco in 2003 and has held various positions with the organization, including field supervisor, financial analyst, and operational lead in merchandise, fixtures, and wholesale settings. During his tenure, he has leveraged his expertise in collaboration, team development, and strategic planning and execution to deliver impactful solutions. Mike has overseen the execution of numerous high-profile transactions, covering a broad range of retail businesses, inventory categories, and store formats across the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Some of these transactions he has been a part of include Advanced Auto Parts, Aeropostale, Allders, Australia Music Group, Bachrach, Big Bear, Borders, Borders Australia, Circuit City, Disney, Focus DIY, Gander Mountain, Just for Feet, Kids R Us, K-Mart, Levitz, MBG Home, Nutraceuticals, Old River, Pharmapacks, RadioShack, Sports Authority, Toys R Us, united Furniture, Walgreens/Rite Aid, and Zellers.
Mike is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in mechanical engineering.
