Sam Curry

Sam Curry is a Senior Advisor for Hilco Global Cyber Advisors. With more than two decades of executive leadership and technical expertise, Sam is recognized for his contributions to cybersecurity, national security, and digital innovation.

Throughout his career, Sam has held multiple senior leadership positions at leading technology companies. Sam currently serves as the Global VP and CISO in Residence at Zscaler, Inc., a NASDAQ 100 company. Additional previous experience includes Chief Product and Security Officer (CPO and CISO) at Cybereason, CTO and CISO for Arbor Networks, and Head of Product and CTO at RSA, the Security Division of EMC. At RSA, he also led RSA Labs in collaboration with MIT and served independently on the RSA Conference Program Committee, influencing industry-wide dialogue on security and innovation. His early career includes key executive roles with Computer Associates, MicroStrategy (formerly Strategy), and McAfee.com/Network Associates, where he helped shape foundational cybersecurity technologies.

Throughout his career, Sam has held numerous board and advisory roles. He currently serves on the boards of the Cybersecurity Coalition, CyberTrust MA, and several public and private cybersecurity and technology startups, including Radiant AI, and previously served on the board of Sequitur Labs. He is widely recognized as a thought leader, frequently featured in the media, contributing regular columns to Forbes, and hosting the podcasts Security All-In and On The Hook.

Sam is a Fellow at the National Security Institute, and an Adjunct Professor at both Nichols College and Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he mentors future cybersecurity professionals and technology leaders.  He holds degrees in English, Physics, and Counterterrorism and is deeply committed to advancing cyber resilience through collaboration, education, and public-private partnership.
