Steven Tanzi

Steven Tanzi is Chief Executive Officer of Hilco Commercial Industrial and an experienced executive and consultant who focuses on both restructuring and business performance improvement. He has over 25 years of both industry and consulting experience supporting companies with their transformational efforts leveraging his extensive knowledge of supply chain, operations, maintenance, customer experience, risk, asset management, organizational design, and financial planning and budgeting. Steven has worked in numerous manufacturing industries and has formal training and deep experience utilizing Lean on both the manufacturing floor and in back-office business processes to support his performance improvement activities.

His experience includes: implementing new inventory and ordering processes to reduce inventory while improving service levels; leading corporate-wide improvement programs focused on Procure to Pay, Working Capital, Financial Close, and Production Reliability to achieve substantial EBITDA improvement and unlock unachieved past integration synergies; driving double-digit improvements in manufacturing EBITDA and reversing trending financial misses by refocusing business culture on margin and customer experience over production volume; reviewing target company manufacturing processes and facilities prior to potential acquisition to identify synergies and growth opportunities for potential buyers; assessing company supply chain, compliance, regulatory, training, legal, and internal audit functions to create reorganization plans that reduce costs, clarify accountability, better align with strategy and industry benchmarks, and eliminate redundant activities while improving compliance; and directing maintenance and reliability transformation programs featuring the implementation of a new organization and deployment models to reduced costs and improve machine availability.
