Naartjie Custom Kids, Inc. retained Hilco Streambank to market and sell its intellectual property assets as part of its chapter 11 bankruptcy case. The assets being sold included the Naartjie® and Naartjie Kids® trademarks, domain names, e-commerce platform and customer data.

Founded in 1989 in Cape Town, South Africa, Naartjie has become a well-known and leading provider of fashionable children’s clothing, accessories and footwear. Its apparel provides an alternative to the basics-dominated children’s clothing brands.

Over a truncated one-month period, Hilco Streambank ran a marketing campaign for the Naartjie intellectual property property assets. Truworths Limited submitted a winning bid of $2.7 million for the asset package.
