Ryan Lawlor

As one of Hilco Real Estate’s senior business leaders, Ryan helps healthy and distressed clients create and execute upon successful strategies to maximize the value of their assets. Ryan works closely with Hilco Real Estate’s national and multinational clients for lease repositioning, renewal and disposition services, as well as property disposition and brokerage services, and has assisted clients such as A&P, Tops, SEG, Starbucks, Boston Market and hhgregg, among others. In addition, Ryan has played an integral role in Hilco Real Estate’s acquisition of key real estate holdings including the acquisitions of the former Sparrows Point Steel Mill in Baltimore, Maryland now known as Tradepoint Atlantic and the ship recycling and remediation facility in Brownsville, Texas now known as SteelCoast.

Ryan began his association with Hilco Global in September 2015 as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel. Ryan was instrumental in providing legal advice to all of Hilco Global’s foreign and domestic operating subsidiaries. Ryan negotiated and structured hundreds of transactions to acquire and monetize personal and real property assets around the world, managed litigation and outside counsel, and provided legal and business advice to business unit CEOs and other senior management regarding corporate transactions, corporate governance, financing, real estate, litigation, employment, intellectual property, and other matters.

Prior to joining Hilco Global, Ryan was an attorney at Bryan Cave, where his focus was on distressed asset sales, merger and acquisitions and in-court and out-of-court restructurings.

Ryan received his Doctor of Law from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit and his Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University. Ryan is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Turnaround Management Association.
