Ian S. Fredericks is Chief Executive Officer of Capital Solutions (Americas) at Hilco Global. Ian also serves as Executive Director of the Hilco Global Consumer and Retail practice as well as Global Head of Data and Innovation.
Since joining Hilco in 2011, Ian has been recognized as a leader in the Financial Services industry, having been honored as a Top Retail Expert by RETHINK Retail from 2024 through 2026 and an Emerging Leader by the M&A Advisors in 2017.
Ian speaks regularly about asset-based lending as well as the retail and consumer sectors of the US economy. He is a frequent panelist at conferences and events, including JPMorgan’s Global Leveraged Finance conference, the Secured Finance Network’s Asset Based Capital and other conferences, and annual conferences for the Turnaround Management Association INSOL.
Additionally, Ian is regularly quoted and featured in in publications like Women’s Wear Daily, RetailRx, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Debtwire, and The Deal. Ian has also been a podcast guest on Secured Finance Network’s “In the Know”, Debtwire’s “Debtwired”, and ION Analytics “Influencers Fireside Chat”, among others. Ian is also the host of RetailRx’s podcast series featuring exceptional and up and coming retailers and consumer products businesses.
In June 2023, Ian graduated from Harvard Business School’s Business Analytics Program, an 18-month program in leadership, business analytics, technology, and artificial intelligence.
Prior to joining Hilco, Ian was a member of the Corporate Restructuring group of Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom, LLP and, before that, Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP.
