
Ian Fredericks serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of Hilco Consumer – Retail, which offers a full suite of financial and operational solutions for retail and consumer goods companies. Since joining Hilco in 2011, Ian has been recognized as a leader in the Retail industry, having been honored as a Top Retail Expert by RETHINK Retail in 2024 and an Emerging Leader by the M&A Advisors in 2017.
Ian speaks regularly about all things retail, including at events and conferences sponsored by Consensus and its Big Brands Show, the Secured Finance Network, the Turnaround Management Association, and INSOL. Ian regularly releases articles concerning the retail and consumer products industries, which have been featured in publications like Women’s Wear Daily and RetailRx, and is often quoted by the likes of The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Debtwire and The Deal.
In June 2023, Ian graduated from Harvard Business School’s Business Analytics Program, an 18-month program in leadership, business analytics, technology, and artificial intelligence.
Prior to joining Hilco, Ian was a member of the Corporate Restructuring group of Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom, LLP and, before that, Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP.
