Olympia Sports retained Hilco Streambank to sell its intellectual property and related assets associated with the Olympia Sports, Clever Training, and Surf Outfitter brands. Assets included trademarks, domain names, customer and transaction data for over 640,000 customers, proprietary images, and vendor information.

Established in 1975 in South Portland, ME, Olympia Sports served smaller communities across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. With more than 230 stores across 14 states at its peak, as well as an e-commerce site, Olympia Sports provided sporting goods, fitness gear and apparel, footwear, casual wear, and team apparel to a loyal, sports-minded customer base.

CleverTraining.com was an e-commerce-only specialty retailer providing the latest high performance athletic training gear for the active lifestyle enthusiast across a wide range of sports and activities.

Surf Outfitter, through its e-commerce channel and one store in Florida, provided a hand-selected collection of apparel, equipment, and accessories that catered to the surf and waterman lifestyle.

Hilco Streambank ran a robust marketing campaign for the three brands, resulting in the qualification of seven bidders. At the auction, following 8 rounds of bidding, the company declared a successful bidder, closing the deal in February 2023.
