Joel I. Getzler
Joel I. Getzler is Chairman and Senior Advisor – Restructuring (Getzler Henrich) in the Professional Services division at Hilco Global. Joel has over 25 years of experience in corporate management, finance, and deal negotiations. He has guided numerous company turnarounds and workouts, and has served as chief restructuring officer for several companies. Joel possesses a strong track record of turning around unprofitable companies, often working closely with boards of directors, and creating significant value for shareholders. He also oversees the day-to-day and long-term management of Getzler Henrich & Associates.
His client expertise includes the review of business plans and financial projections, operating cash flow estimates, the evaluation/negotiation of such transactions as acquisition/divestiture of business units and other plan of reorganization issues, debtor-in-possession financing facilities, and the examination of creditors’ claims and projected recoveries under various operating and restructuring situations.
Joel has served on the boards of directors of a number of companies, and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and American Bankruptcy Institute; he holds a bachelor’s degree from Queens College.
